The payment schedule can now be based on a total number of payments or a specific payment amount. When selecting a specific payment amount, enter the amount, and the number of payments will be calculated automatically.
Bug Fixes
Squashed a bug where, in some instances, payment plan payments were posted to the patient’s guarantor.
When payment plans are posted to Open Dental, Crown will auto-select the provider assigned to the procedure(s). If a payment plan is unallocated, it will assign the patient’s default provider.
Payment plans and memberships are now removed from past-due notifications when canceled.

For dentists looking to pass their credit card fees on to patients paying with credit cards, Crown will be the first platform to support surcharging for in-person and online transactions, fully integrated with Open Dental. Look for our announcement at the end of March.
